Sladen Estates, in partnership with Peveril Securities, have completed the build of a new headquarters for Ripley-based firm Tubesheet.
Sladen Estates designed and built the 22,000 sq ft premises for the precision engineering business at Denby Hall business park, which is just off the A38 and A610 near Ripley.
Tubesheet was established in 1985 and has since become the leading player in precision engineered components and the supply of tubesheets and heat exchanger related products in ferrous, non-ferrous and exotic alloys. These types of products are used primarily in the nuclear, power generation and petrochemical industries.
Business is booming and the firm was urgently in need of larger headquarters. The owners picked the Denby Hall site as it has very good links to major roads, such as the M1 at junction 28, and is already home to established names such as Technocargo, Derwent Displays, HL Plastics and DEB.
Chief executive at Sladen Estates Nick Sladen said it had been exciting for his firm to be involved with the expansion and development of such a thriving local business.
He said: “We are thrilled to have completed this project for Tubesheet. It is always encouraging to see local firms growing to the point where they need new, bigger premises – and this is where we come in. We have created a state-of-the-art base for Tubesheet so it can continue to grow and develop as a business.
“We now have just two plots left at Denby Hall that can accommodate a 50,000 sq ft and a 100,000 sq ft. building.”
Andy Vaughan of Tubesheet added: “It has been a pleasure working with Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities and we are absolutely delighted with the finished build.
“As our business had grown rapidly, we urgently needed a bigger home – which is exactly what Sladens and Peveril have provided in a quick time frame and to the highest of standards. We are very excited to move into our new home on schedule.”
Tubesheet supplies customers across the globe, with over 65 per cent of its business being direct export.
