Sladen Estates has purchased its first office site in the south east in a joint venture with Peveril Securities Ltd.
Derbyshire-based Sladen Estates has secured a riverside site in Guildford, which is situated less than 10 minutes from Guildford train station.
The site has detailed planning permission for two office buildings – one of just over 24,000 sq. ft. and the other of just over 13,000 sq. ft.
The capital value of the completed scheme, which is located at Walnut Tree Wharf, will be £15 million.
Chief executive at Sladen Estates Nick Sladen said: “This purchase reflects our desire and ability to operate in a variety of markets.
“It is our first project in the south east office market and it will be built to BREEAM very good standard.
“It is a very high quality scheme, as all our schemes are. Although the site is located in the south east it will have strong connections to the Midlands, with several Midlands firms including CPMG Architects and BWB Engineers working on the project.”
The site purchase is a joint venture between Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities Ltd.
Sladen and Peveril have worked together extensively over the last 14 years and in that time have undertook developments jointly with a value of around £300 million.
Mike Taplin of Freeth Cartwright in Derby acted for Sladen on the purchase and CBRE advised on the acquisition. Reach Marketing of Leicester have been appointed to brand and market the scheme.
